To the most remote - week 49

This has been one of the longest weeks ever. And it has been one of the bests weeks too!

Last Monday night we went finding and ran into an old friend. It was good to talk to her.

Tuesday was our last district council. And one of the elders is going home. Elder Whittier. He is one of my favorite missionaries ever! He is so awesome and hardworking and all. After that we went over to a friend's house and she made us lunch. It was pretty fire. She has two little girls who are pretty funny. Basically they were watching cartoons. After starting a mission literally everything is entertaining!

Wednesday we had a couple lessons. One was with a member and their kids. Their kids aren't baptized so we taught the the Plan of Salvation. We invited the wife of one of the old Taichung mission president and she was a perfect person to bring along. She helped so much. During this lesson I get a call from president Whitely in which i discover. I'm moving to the most out there area in the mission called Yuli 玉里.  I was shocked!

That night we had English group and I got to teach the kids. There are three little girls. Basically I tell them to draw something on the board attempting to teach them the word or whatever. It was fun.

Thursday we attempted to go that old Taichung mission presidents home. And he lives up by a reservoir of water up in the mountains so we rode up there. We told him last Sunday we were coming so we called up homie and he said he's not there and you have to affirm with him. He is kind of of a troll and very funny guy! Later that day we had him and his wife accompany a lesson and they helped our friend so much although we didn't say a word haha.

Friday was a pretty miracle. We decided to go to a members home which he built himself. It was very cool. On the way to visit him we ran into a friend and she decided to tag along so that was lit. After we looked around the house the member made us banana smoothies. After we saw the friends home. Her home is pretty cool too! afterwards she brought us some vanilla coke and we put her in baptismal date! She is super elect! That night we had a baptism and this friend was coming but missed her stop and didn't make it :(
The bishop's family took us to the other chapel and after we ate some fire food! They then drove us home and it was lit.

Saturday I headed up to Taipei to transfer. We took the high speed rail two hours to Gaoxiong. Aka the other mission in Taiwan! So we left the mission :0
We then rode a train around the bottom of the island and up to my new area 玉里. We got here and it's crazy. It's crazy beautiful and crazy small. There is like nobody. We went to bed

Sunday we had church and like a total of 12 people were there also was fast Sunday. We went out finding and visiting our friends. Luckily we ran into a family who invited to dinner! Which is perfect we had not bought any food for fast Sunday so we were just not gonna eat! The family is so nice and very cool. The mom has met and made friends with many missionaries in the past! The finding was fun. I was very happy.

Today we rode a train down to taidong which is the furthest south area in the mission then we rode in a members car up to a place with a bridge to an island where the bishop took us and another member fishing. More like bishop went fishing we explored and eventually made it to where bishop is fishing.

So this guy caught a big fish and we got a picture. After we used bishops pole to catch some fish. Me and Elder Buer caught one. When Buer threw the fish back a barracuda came out of nowhere and ate the fish. It was the craziest and coolest thing I've seen ever! I'm so happy I caught a fish in Taiwan even though it was tinny haha! I had a great week!

I love you all and know God loves you each! 加油

愛你們,
Elder Clegg
