Elder Max Clegg: 🌧🦍🦧🐽🌏Week 58

This week was a pretty good week!

Last monday night we had an online lesson and after that we went out finding. My companion went and saw the eye doctor and yeah.

Tuesday we went down to songshan for district council. Afterwards we started an exchange. I went with Elder Lin to Neihu. It was a pretty fun exchange. Elder lin is Taiwanese. He is super fun and cool. He also is very nice. We did finding and stuff. It was good. That night it was announced that Wednesday would be off for the taiphoon. Turns out the next day wasn't bad.

Wednesday we exchange backed. We did finding then at night had a bunch of video call lessons because we had to cancel English group bc of the taiphoon. It all went well. Near the nighttime it started pouring rain and was pretty windy. So on the way home I pulled out my huge umbrella from Costco and rode home. It was lit.

Thursday we had to stay inside all day because of the typhoon. So we called abunch of formers and stuff. That was about it. Pretty boring but oh well

Friday we were aloud to go outside Yay!

We went to the chapel and the new bishop pulled up and was like let's go eat. So I got some free beef noodles. Pretty fire. After we did alot of finding. It was pretty good. I got Costco for dinner. So yummy That was about Friday

Saturday we had some good stuff happen. Found a good amount of friends. It was a good day. We then had a lesson with our new member where we were able to help her with her family history. Also help solve some questions. It was so fun. She is such a great new member!

Sunday was good. It was fast Sunday so we had testimony meeting. It went a little crazy tbh. Afterwards we joined the youth Sunday school class. That was alot of fun for sure! Later we went and help this guy move some stuff bc he is moving. And he expressed intrest and he is so fun!

Today we ate brunch with a member. Went to Costco to buy groceries. Then we had a meditation session with this member. She may or may not be a little crazy haha. But yeah it was a fun time.

Overall a pretty good week. I wish I could write some funny things that happen. Maybe next week.

I would like to share a scripture

Mosiah 23:21–22

21 Nevertheless the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea, he trieth their patience and their faith.

22 Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day. Yea, and thus it was with this people.

I love this scripture. It teaches me thay when we go through hard things it helpes us grow and develope our patience and faith.

And inasmuch as we trust in Him we will be saved at the last day.

Heavenly father let's us go through trials to strengthen us. Reminds me of another scripture. One of my favorites

Doctrine and Covenants 122

The whole chapter but epically verse 7

7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
