Let him cook 🔥 - Week 78

 

This week has been the best 之一. It was so spirtual and overall an amazing fun week. So lit. I'll go over the rundown but we had an Apostle of the Lord come and we had a missionary devotional with him. It was Elder Cook! I'll talk more about it later.

Last Monday we had pday and we went to see a doctor and after that we went to the 地下街 (underground shopping mall). It was awesome and we had a great time. For dinner we ate some inodonisian food. It was so fire and tasted good! That's about it

Tuesday we had district council and ate lunch together, after lunch we had to go to the doctor. After we went out finding it was really fun! We ran into this cute kid who we bought some candy for. It was good. We also had a good time on the streets finding

Wednesday we woke up early and headed to jin hua jie, the chapel by the mission office. There we had a devotion with Elder Cook it was so awesome! The spirit was super strong. He shared a ton of awesome stuff! It was very spiritual filling! Awesome experience! After we got back and we did some finding and we also had English group. It went well! My and my comp taught the parent and child class it was so fun. The kids are so cute.

Thursday we went to the doctor again later that day we had dinner with a lit member. We had so much fun and it was good. We ate a nice burger and some fries. And we did some finding

Friday we had a mission meeting online, then did some studies and stuff. We basically just did alot of finding I think it was alright. I saw a cool Porsche tho. It had a cool like turbo setup in the back lol. I'll put a picture of it.

Saturday was a fire time! We had a lunch appointment with a member couple snd we had steak. We both got 2 8oz steaks. The meat quality isn't crazy but it was so fire! They aslo had alot of other all you can eat side dishes n stuff. Pretty good! Later we went down our area to a more out of the way place. It was really good. Although we haven't seen crazy sucess it has still been good. We alsonate some grilled corn for dinner it was fire. We weren't crazy hungry so we just ate that.

Sunday was really fire! We had like 4 friends come that's really good compared to what was happening the past transfers. Also some 7⁷ from jilong came to visit our ward so it was good to see them again. After we went over to a members home for lunch. They already ate but the dad made us some fire 泡麵, insta noodles, but he added stuff that made it alot more fire. They are a super nice family and their two daughters are awesome. After all that we did some planning and studies then later that night we had a activity with all the singles we also had a friend come so thats cool it was fun and our friend liked it so that's good! After we headed home and had some meetings and that's that.

Monday (yesterday) was not our pday because today we went to the temple. Anyway we had exchanges and district council. So we basically just did alot of finding and had a member meal. The member invited all the missionaries here, 6 in total, to dinner. So that was good. Later we did more finding. I was with Elder Oliver we had a fun time and worked hard. We had some funny thing happen. There was this fat dog who was chill and Elder Oliver went to pet it and it snatched at him but missed luckily. That's one of them.

Today we went to the temple, it was awesome as always. After we got some fire strawberry+milk shaved I've. So good. Because they use milk instead of water for the ice. So good! We then ate some 抓餅. "Taiwan pancake" we then went to see the doctor my comp is doing x ray. On the way we see this guy with a massive pig walking the pig down the street so we got some pics with it. Pretty lit.

This past week was so good! And I enjoyed it, elder cook coming and visiting us was the best. Coolest experience of my life fr! But yeah. I know that he is an ordained Apostle of God. And my testimony of prophets and apostles was developed alot more after. So cool! Anyways,

🎈- Week 77

 

This week has been a blast it was pretty good :>

Last monday we spent our pday with some members it was good we went to an old street and we ate some food and stuff. We also started works on building a lego bowser. 

Tuesday we had district council then ate lunch together. We did some finding then a new member lesson after we biked like 20 minutes south west. And we ate dinner then had a lesson over there! It was a good lesson we met in a convient store. There was this drunk guy on the ground and the cops were outside. The drunk guy was just shouting at them lol. 

Wednesday we had a lunch appointment with our members. His name is Joseph. He is one that I met when I was in jilong. He later moved to xindian and now I'm here haha. He is super nice and the food was good. We then had a lesson and it was pretty crazy haha. It was good tho. Later we had English group. We had a ton of families pull up. So it was pretty fun!

Thursday we ate lunch with a friend and went to his home for a little visit. It was good. We did some finding then had a dinner apointment with two members. It was really fun! We had a hot pot restaurant. It was pretty good! I also got a 20 kuai coin which are really rare. The member gave it to me as a gift. It's pretty cool.

Friday we had a lesson then ate lunch for lunch we had 牛肉麵 beef noodles. They were really good. We know the guy who owns the shop so we get a discount plus free drinks. It's super lit fr! We then had some finding and after a lesson where you new member helped 陪課(accompanied the lesson).  After we had a lesson with the new member. His name is Jerry.  His is lit. This was all at the chapel. There was also a activity going on so we talked to some of the members then we went to mcdonalds for dinner. It was about 9:15pm when we got home with our food 

Saturday was epic. We ate lunch and afterwards we went to a park with a couple members and did balloons for the kids. It was super fun! The kids would just come up to us and say I want (whatever). I learned how to make a sword that's about it haha. And a fish aswell. So that's fun. We did some more finding then we ate dinner and headed home. It was a lit day.

Sunday we had church service and had 3 friends come so that's good. It wad a good meeting after we ate lunch. They prepare lunch about every time after church so that's lit. After all that we did some planning and studies. We then had a fireside with all the new members and people in our stake. Although alot of people didn't come. Anyways my comp was giving a talk so that fun. When I got to the church I was invited to give a 5 minute talk right before it started haha. So that was great. I shared blessings of the gospel and of a mission. Also shared about 1 nephi 1:20 which talks about the tender mercies of the Lord.

But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.

This reminds me of a talk to elder Bednar gave. I like this because every day we receive tender mercies and what my mom said it shows us that God is watching us and is aware of us. I like that alot. I think I need to write a bunch of experiences of the tender mercies of the Lord and write them somewhere.

Anways this week was lit. Time is flying by Pretty fast. I have like 5 months left so i need to make the best of it!

Week 76

 

This week was fire! 

last monday I can't really remember bit I'm pretty sure we did like nothing. But we spent some time calling formers and yeah that's about it

Tuesday we had to go to the doctor for my companion. He has to got to the doctor alot. After ate some lunch then had some studies and stuff we then went out finding. It was actually really good. Recently it's been hard and sometimes It feels hard but Recently I've been feeling better about it. It always seems to be a phase. But we saw alot of sucess. We had a pass off lesson with a friend.

Wednesday we had district council and then we went to meet up with a friend and we sat in McDonald's and had a lesson. Then had some finding and at night english group. It was the first time I've done english group here it was good. After we did a chapel tour/lesson with our boy Bryan he is lit!

Thursday we had exchanges. I went with eld34 callister. He is lit and we worked really hard. We hit the streets hard. That night we had some interesting lessons. It was super good and awesome. We had a member participate in the lessons and she was perfect. 

Friday we had interviews with the president. It was great. I shared a cool experience I had with him. Later that night we had a 請客, dinner with a member family, it was super fun! We ate some pretty fire food. Later we had a lesson with our new member. It was online. 

Saturday we had a Lunch with lit member from a different ward. She was kind and the food was good. We then did alot of finding we then went to the church to prepare for a baptism. The baptismal font wouldn't stop up water so we had to buy tape and tape the drain to keep water I'm haha. We ended up having a great baptism. The friend who got baptized was meeting with the other elder when they found out he doesn't live in their boundaries so that why we had this baptism. After the baptism we biked up a mountain to a less active member and ate dinner with him. He invited a person living in their home to the spiritual share so that's cool.

Sunday we had church and we had some people come to church. After we had a normal Sunday day with some good finding.

Today we went with some members to the chiropractor for My comp then we all got lunch and hanged out together so pretty lit!

蛇年快樂 - Week 75

 

This week has been very fire and awesome. It's the chinese new year, so we spent so much time going to members homes. They made us food and we ate so much! It was all so fire! 

Last monday we had all you can eat BBQ. Then later that night we biked to a Italian noodle shop. Our bike ride was crazy. There was so many people on the ride over it was crazy. We had a good dinner with our boy Roger 

Tuesday we had 2 請客s again. The first one we biked to their home for lunch it was fun. Their home is very cozy. After that we had some studies and some finding. For dinner we went to a members home. Their place is super nice and the food was good! Xindian is a very nice area so far. 

Wednesday was super fun aswel. Xindian has 3 sets of missionaries Two elders and sisters. We all took a bus up the mountain to a members home for lunch. They live in a very pretty place. You can see everything in taipei from up there. Pretty sick. The member's are cool. Later that day after all the normal stuff we had another 請客. It was great.

Thursday we went over to the jinhua chapel for zone conference. It was good we learned alot about baptism. After the conference we went downstairs and ran into president Whiteley and they have these electric bikes and they let us ride them. It was super fun! We rode them around the parking garage! So lit. We then did some stuff in the mission office. We then headed back to our area and over to another 請客. We have alot because of Chinese new year. It was great. The sisters came aswel. They had a very cute cat so that's fun!

Friday we ate lunch at the bishop of the other wards home. It was yummy and they are great! After that we went to the church and we had a fire lesson. Later we had another 請客. We went to the mall and ate some Korean food. The member's we ate with aren't actually from our ward but it was lit.

Saturday we had a 請客 for lunch then we just had normal dinner. But after lunch we had a lesson with a family. It was awesome!

Sunday after church we went to a couple members homes and that was really fun. I love meeting the members. We also ate lots of food haha!

Overall a fire week and a great chinese new year！
