Week 74

 

This week has been pretty lit. I'm loving the new area and the members are really cool. I've been feeling sick but it's okay. We chilling. 

Last monday was pretty lit later that night we had a lit 請客 (which means treat somone to dinner or meal). It was awesome, its a family and they have two cute daughters. afterwards we went finding for the rest of the day. It was good.

Tuesday we had district council and afterthat we all got beef noodles. I got lil spicy and it was pretty dang spicy haha. We went to the doctor for my comp. It took a long time but oh well. We then headed over to a 請客. It was the mom of my previous areas bishop. Also my new area bishop is also one of her sons so that's cool. It was a good time. Later we went finding.

Wednesday was a pretty ordinary day. But it was good. Yeah 

Thursday we had a morning lesson. Then a fun 請客 with this family. They are super fun. Alot of the 請客s the other missionaries will come sometimes. The xindian area has 1 set of sisters and two sets of elders. But yeah it was fun! We had to go to the doctor again. After we had another 請客. Man we will probably get fat haha. We had 2 more lessons.

Friday was awesome! We had a great 請客. They are so nice to treat us to food. We are having lots of them because of Chinese new year. After that we went to a new area finding so that was lit. After we went to the temple with our new member and also ate together. We did baptisms for the dead and it was awesome. So greatful for the opportunity to bring people who haven't been to the temple. It's awesome. I love doing baptism. And going to the temple!

Saturday was lit too. We did finding. We had dinner with a member. We had to ride our bike to a decently far place to eat. But yeah. That was basically the day.

Sunday we went to church and it was great. I got to meet more members. But yeah it was a good Sunday!

Today we are going with a member somewhere and also eating 吃到飽烤肉 (all you can eat BBQ). Its Finnair be fire! Overall a good day.

2 Nephi 26:33

For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.

Recently this has been one my favorite scriptures. All are alike unto God. He knows all of us. He loves you!

What's up everyone. So I will try my best to remember what happened last week. It wad pretty good tho

Last monday we played pool together as a district! That was really fun! Later that night we visited a member to help them throw away their trash because they can't really do it themselves. But yeah.

Tuesday we had district council so that was good. The last district council of the transfer. We ate hotpot together then I started my exchange with Elder Punzalan. He is a super lit homie and also a great missionary. He is from the Phillipines. We had some good finding and we had a great exchange. 

Wednesday we finnished up our exchange and then had some studies and finding and stuff. That night we had English group but nobody ended up comming hahaha. So we canceled and did some other stuff. 

Thursday we had exchanges again. This time I went with Elder Grames. He is super lit! We had a great exchange. We went finding and had some pretty fire lessons. Overall a great exchange. We ate some Fire food. I also received news that I am moving to 新店 xindian. So that's pretty lit. It's my new Comps last transfer so I'm 'killing him'. Should be fun.

Friday we ended our exchange and we had a cheeky member meal. We ate hotpot. That was lit. The member is pretty cool. Later we had a lit lesson with our most progressing friend. She is awesome. She asked us to share our testimonies so I did about how the gospel blessed my family. So that's lit.

Saturday we woke up and headed to 金華街 jinhuajie for transfer. I got my new comp elder Harwood. We transfered and went back to the 新店 xindian apartment. We then went out for lunch did some studies and stuff then went out finding. Good day!

Sunday we woke up and went to church. I was a little confused because we do the classes before Sacrament meeting. During sacrament meeting I introduced myself and shared my testimony. I shared 1 nephi 11:32-33. It was a good day. Later we pulled up to a members place and they know someone from my previous area and they were like we need to take care of me. So the mom made us food to eat for dinner. So kind epically because I didn't have any food to eat. I guess the Lord will provide fr.

Today we went up to 北投 beitou. My first area. We went to a Chinese chiropractor for my companion. He is also a member. My comp has some problems so we went there. I also had him adjust me lol. It was pretty lit. Kinda scary but yeah. We then headed to 淡水 for a little bit that was fun! My dad served there for awhile so that's also sick! That was today. We also ate Costco in 北投beitou. Overall a good pday

Week 72

 

This week was absolutely fire fr! 

So last pday was Tuesday. We went to the temple so that was very nice. I learn so much this time. It was different. I also felt I received an answer to a recent question so that was awesome! After the temple we got some food then we headed over to 基隆 jilong. We decided to go to a museum. It's only happens on Tuesday so that's why we decided to go! It's called The National Museum of Marine Science and Technology. It was lit we had a good time. That night wasn't special we did some finding and yeah!

Wednesday we had a lunch with one of the members. She is super cool and I had a great time with her! Very tasty food. After that we had studies and stuff. We then went out finding for some time it was good! We then had a new member lesson! She is super lit she also came to church this week. Recently we've been trying to get our new members to church! After lesson we had English group and it was good! We played charades. The little kid call3d Donald is awesome at charades. He doesn't stop acting it out until they guess it so that's funny. After we ate some food.

Thursday we started it off with a district council. The zone leaders also joined us. It was a great district council after we got hotpot all together! It was tasty! After we had personal study and comp study. We then went out finding. It was pretty lit after finding we grabbed all our stuff and hopped on a train down to hualien for exchanges. The train ride was lit. We ate dinner on the train. We got off at the hualien station then proceeded to walk 1 hour to the apartment. It was lit. We took some scuffed roads there so I kinda felt very 偏僻 remote. We got there successfully, no skinwalkers got us yay!

Friday we started our exchange with the zone leaders. This time im with Elder Sims! He was in my mtc group. I love him he is so fun! We had an awesome exchange and wr hit our pretty large goal we set for that day, so that feels good. We had a great time. We ate some pretty fire burgers and some great fries. It was very delicious! Overall a great exchange. Elder sims is so funny!

Saturday we woke up around 4:30 got ready and took a taxi down the the train station and took an early train. We got home and had a pretty good day we had a couple lessons and studies and all that good stuff. Good day aswel.

Sunday we has a great church service. We had many friends come so that's lit. After church I had a great baptismal interview. And after we joined a activity it was fun. We played a game where you hold something on your head and ask questions to find out what it is. It was fun. We then had some studies and planning and one of the best lessons I had with our recent convert. He is the best! Very spirtual lesson. I will miss him

Today we don't know what we will do yet but hopefully something lit.

I probably will be transfering this Saturday to a newplace. Should be super duper fun! I'm excited.

Today I will share a scripture I love in Ether 12

6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.

We will not receive a testimony until after we have faith and we are tried. I think that is awesome! So don't give up :)

week 71

 

What's up all my homies. This week was a fire week to say the least. This week our pday is on Tuesday. The mission president wants us missionaries to have a chance to go to the temple every transfer, so they change one of the p days to Tuesday so we can go. That what we are doing this Tuesday. But last week的話呢？

Last Tuesday we had a nice district council after that we had a very 高級 meal with one of our members, Carol. It's one where you pick like 7 course meal. It was pretty good. After that we had a good lesson and studies, the rest of the day we were out finding. So that's always fun. At the last moment we hit ou friend goal and made it home on time. Mission accomplished  

Wednesday we had a great lesson in the morning. After lesson we had studies then again finding. Nothing crazy happened that I can think of.  That night we had a English group. Well only 2 people showed up, one of our new members and one that Is a friend right now so after the English group, we had a simple lesson. So that's cool!

Thursday was a nice exchange day. It was awesome. I exchanged with Elder Wang. He is a native missionary. The first thing we did was have a morning lesson. We did a video call with this kid who's like the age of middle school, but he is 自學.  Which means he teaches himself and doesn't actually go to school. So that's pretty sick. He also likes to skateboard. For our lesson we shared the restoration. After we did all our studies and stuff. After those we went out finding for the day. It went really well. Basically I started the conversations then passed it to elder wang. He was like you gotta start it because they like 外國人 (foreigners) more, lol. There is one spot with like a fountain thingy with water and there were fish inside it. So you could stick your finger in and they would nibble your fingers. The koi didn't hurt but there was one that's like a bass, they have teeth so it hurts some bit. We had another lesson at night. Overall fire. 

Friday we exchanged back then had a lesson it was fire. And then we did finding and studies and at night had two lessons. We were supposed to have 3 but they 放鴿子。 but the lessons we had were all so great. One was really interesting. Me and my companion are not sure what he was talking about but we had a member with us so that helped alot.

Saturday we had a pretty great day. We had a decent amount of lessons with members participating and all. They all went pretty well. I just wish more people were more proactive and desirous for the special Covenants we can make with God. I guess I'm happy for the knowledge that I have now. So grateful for the experiences and good things that come from the gospel. I just desire others to have the same blessings. But it's hard to help them. But yeah

Sunday we had church and a decent amount of our friends pulled up. One person who hasn't been to our church service before but has been coming to english group came for her first time. After she came up and told me how she felt different from other churches/religions. I was so happy to hear that. I do know our church is true and you can feel the spirit when you pull up. Later that day we did much planning and studies and some finding. So yeah good

Monday was a normal work day so we started off with personal study and some other stuff. We ate Costco and had a lesson afterwards later we just did alot of finding and that's about it.

Today we went to the temple. It wad an awesome experience as always. It's really nice to go! Now we are heading to jilong. There is a marine technology museum we want to go to. I'm excited should be lit

I'm greatful for the opportunity to serve the Lord in Taiwan. Even tho it's hard it's still so worth it. I'm greatful for Jesus Christ. This time in the temple I learned some new stuff. And am pretty sure I have received an answer to one of my biggest questions on the mission so that was cool!
