🎄🦍🌋🔥 - week 70

 

Whats up my homies! This week was absolutely awesome! I had such a good time! Last monday we met up with all the taipei missionaries and we watched the Christmas Carol and had free pizza. It was fire! But yeah

Tuesday is christmas eve.every missionary in the taipei mission even those down in taidong came up for a huge get together. We ate a fire brunch. French toast, eggs and lots of bacon! Also other small snacks like cheese, cracker, and other stuff. After we ate we got a Christmas present. Everyonr got mission hoodies, they look pretty sick! I love them! After we watched a presentation with all the missionaries familys wishing them merry Christmas. That was fun to see haha. After we had a little Christmas program where we sung and also had like parts where people narrate the birth of christ. Right after that we had district council then headed back to our area. We finnished off the day with personal study and finding and dinner. A fire day!

Wednesday was Christmas day. They do not really celebrate Christmas here. I mean there are some decorations and stuff but not really anything else we had some lessons and studies and finding. We also had the opportunity to give some priesthood blessings so that was cool.

That night we had English group. It was about Christmas. So together we made some gingerbread houses and decorated gingerbread. So that was fun! Everyone seemed to like it.

Thursday in the morning we started exchanges. I'm with Elder barker. He is very silly. So we had some studies and stuff. We ate a tasty Costco lunch then headed to a Starbucks for studies. This guy wanted to buy us something so we got a mango slushie thingy. It was fire. We then went out finding and it was super fun. Elder barker made finding super fun! He is so enthusiastic! It's awesome. I think he lit a fire in me, atleast for now. Because I've been being more enthusiastic and just silly. So it's really fun! We also had some lessons that night. They all went pretty well! But yeah a great day!

Friday we went up to the mission office for interviews! They were awesome. I feel everytime I have interview with the mission president I feel so much love. The mission leaders are just stunning! Its so awesome! After interviews we traveled home and ate lunch. We then did all our studies and stuff. After that we went out finding. It was great! I loved it! After finding we headed over to the church for a activity! It was super lit. They bought us a burger from McDonald's and also made hotpot to eat! It was yummy! We played some games and stuff together. Connect 4 goes hard fr!

Saturday was good. Good lessons, good finding and stuff. We had a pretty fun lesson in the morning with this pretty funny couple. It's fun haha! But yeah nothing crazy on saturday but still good!

Sunday was a pretty busy day! So we called people in the morning before church to remind them and tell them to come to church. We then went to church. We had 3 friends come. Turns out one of the. Was baptised in our church awhile ago. It was cool! The members were really good at talking to our friends. After church we had lunch then headed over to a members house. The same one with the cute cats. So yeah we had a lesson with him then headed to the apartment for studies and planning. We went out finding for a little bit. Then I had some calls I had to take.

Today we headed into 松山 songshan. We are going to eat an all you can eat barbecue. It should be fire! We will see what happens after! Should be lit!

I wanted to share a cool scripture that I read today. Alma 58:11

11 Yea, and it came to pass that the Lord our God did visit us with assurances that he would deliver us; yea, insomuch that he did speak peace to our souls, and did grant unto us great faith, and did cause us that we should hope for our deliverance in him.

I like this because sometimes we feel lack of peace and maybe worried or stressed or dont feel up to the task, when even we may be doubtful God will speak peace to our personal souls. He will comfort us and we can have faith that he will not leave us comfortless he will come to us. 

I love yall so much, remember even when times may not be going the way you want or it is hard that God has not abandoned you. The refiners fire is real :)

Week 69 - nice

 

This week has been amazing. It's also been a long week. We did did so many things this week. It was packed. So here is the rundown.

Last monday we all got together as a district ate super fire potstickers that I got all the time when I was in jilong. They are so fire. After that we went to HePing Island. It was lit. We had a good time. The weather was overcast and pretty cool. So it felt great. Later that night we did some finding then we traveled over to Yilan for the night. So that was a nice trip over. About 30 minute walk + 1 hour and 15 minutes of bus.

Tuesday morning we got up and headed to hualien on the train. We had our zone conference. It was awesome! And we had pizza and fire desert for lunch. So fire I love pizza fr. After zone conference we met with the other DLs and the ZL for a meeting. After that we headed back to our area did some finding and that's that.

Wednesday we had Costco lunch. Funding a new member lesson and English group. It all went well and was overall a good day.

Thursday was just a normal day no lessons just lots of finding. 

Friday we had a lit lesson in the morning. Afterwards we had district council. It went super well afterwards we all got hotpot together. It was so fire as always. They Have this fire Carmel pudding soft serve icecream. It's like the best! We did our studies then went out finding. After we had two lessons. One with anew member and one with our most progressing friend. Her name is Ying Qi. She always asks fire questions and is so happy when we meet her. She has been coming to church alot ever since I invited her to come off the streets. Yeah she's lit

Saturday we had a splendid day. From morning finding to eating a late lunch with a member. It was pretty tasty. After thar we had our studies then went out finding for a little. At night we went over to the church for our Ward's Christmas activity. They had lots of food and we had a great time! The food was so fire and it was good to see all the members. One of our friends came to it aswel. He is half American half Japanese so he speaks both but doesn't really speak Chinese. He is super lit. After the activity we called people and invited them to church.

Sunday morning we had some recent converts come and a couple of friends. Church service was only an hour long. After we had a lesson with our friend it was awesome. He seems pretty interested. Afterwards we went home and ate lunch, did studies and planning then went out finding. This week's finding was so trash tbh, but it's okay we keep pushing along. And it was still an awesome week. Later that night we gather together as a ward and sung some hymns and the kids in our ward did the nativity for the community we live in. It was cute and fun! 

We then had dinner and did many calls to district members and zone leaders.

Today we already went to Costco to buy some stuff. We are going down to taipei the mission office for an activity. We will be watching some movie together and eat pizza and snacks. Should be super fun!

Week 68

This week was awesome! I love it! Here is the rundown of what happened

So last monday we had a member meal. They are so awesome! They took us to Texas roadhouse it was so good! They told me to get 17 Oz ribye hahaha. It was so fire I loved it! Only problem is they do not have my favorite sauce here, heinz 57, nevertheless it was fire! Thank you to those beloved members!

Later that night after pday ended we had a nice lesson with our new member. 

Recenlty Evey other week we go help a member throw away her garbage. She is awesome! She just can't really lift heavy things. It's so lit. I love serving her!

Tuesday was great! We first had district council. It went well afterwards we ate some good Hot Pot. So fire. After we did some personal study then headed over for a lesson. It went super well :)

We did some more finding then headed over to the church for a lesson but 放鴿子。 so we went out finding some more. Ran into a pretty lit guy! He said he would come to church 結果(outcome) he didn't pull up. So we went and did more finding.

Wednesday we had some Costco for lunch. We ran into some jilong members there aswel. That day we did alot of finding and after had a lit english group. It's always fun seeing all the homies pull up to it! We talked about feelings and emotions. We had them act out some. I made my boy Donald act out nostalgic. That was fun.

Thursday we just did so much finding. The whole day was just finding. And we didn't find a single person. That's pretty sad but we did call some people up invited them to church and they came! So that's lit

Friday I had a meeting online we then did studies and went out finding after finding we had two lessons. One was really cool we helped our friend answer some questions. At the end of the night we ate dinner.

Saturday was a really lit day. We had all our normal studies and stuff then did a little bit of finding. After that we had an activity. It was a gift exchange. It was wish some members and it was really fun. We shared a spiritual share during it. We did some Karaoke and ate some snacks and stuff. So that was really lit. 

Later we had a lesson which was good. And that was about it for Saturday.

Sunday was crazy busy it was lit. Since now we are covering two wards and we had people going to both church meetings so we ended up going to two church services. I also had a baptismal interview. It went really well he is ready. After going to the two chur h services we only had time for personal study and planning the week out. It aas pretty busy.

Today we went down to jilong with the people in my district. They wanted to go to a place I've been to before. It's a pretty lit place I think. But yeah I'll send some pictures if im able to!

🛣🚦🦍 - week 67

 

This week has been pretty good. I think the more I'm out the less I feel want to write an email. Everything is always just blured into one thing. When I write my email I have to look at the schedule to remember what we did. Nevertheless it was lit.

Last monday we went to Costco ate lunch bought some things. I bought peanut butter and

muffins. So fire! This pday we bought some things and we played some arcade games. It was pretty fun. At Costco there was a pretty cool book about animals which was cool. I'll send some pics. Later that night we had a lesson, threw away the trash and went finding for the night.

Tuesday was a busy day, first we had district council after that came home got our bikes ate Costco then had a fire lesson. After the lesson we had to hurry back for our apartment inspection. It was supposed to be at 3:30 but the senior couple got lost from Google maps. The went into a shipping container place. Like the huge cargo ship containers. I'm sure that was fun. After that we had our studies and did much finding for the rest of the night.

Wednesday we didn't do lots. Mostly just finding then we had English group. I always hate English group but after end up loving it. Not sure why. Maybe just stressful leading people ? Oh well. We had a fun spirutal share about faith IN Jesus Christ.

Thursday we had some good finding and some awesome lessons! It was fire. The lessons were with really interested people. Hope they continue and progress! We then called people then ate dinner at the end of the day.

Friday we has a member visit with one of our members. The bishop from hualien was there so that was cool. He is super lit and fun to talk to! We had a good visit and helped them sweep their house a little bit. We had lots of finding then two online lessons. The lessons were awesome. There is this one friend that has much potential. After the lessons we ate dinner at the end of the day. 

Saturday was a long day. We basically just did like 6 hours of finding. We just walked big circles around our area finding. It was pretty lit. 

Sunday was a fun day. We had a good time at Sacrament meeting. We didn't have as many friends pull up as we wanted but our boy Kevin pulled up. Kevin is fun. He doesn't really speak Chinese. He is from Japan his dad is America. He is half American and Japanese. He is also a Esports manager for league of legends . He is always fun to talk to. 

Also our two of our members came. One of them who usally never makes it on time to take the sacrament pulled up on time. So happy! After church we had studies and we ate, also did much planning. 

We also got to go visit the new member that made it to Sacrament. He is so awesome. We visited his home which is like a fun 30 minute bike ride so that was fun. His home has to cats. They are so cute. Since now I am district leader again I have to make many calls Sunday night. So that's fun yippee. 

Today we have a member meal! They are taking us to Texas roadhouse. Yes taiwan has Texas roadhouse. I'm super excited it should be so fire! 

But yeah that was the week. Pretty good

Today I wanted to share a short story from the book of mormon that I noticed and loved recently In my studies

Mosiah 24:12–16

12 And Alma and his people did not raise their voices to the Lord their God, but did pour out their hearts to him; and he did know the thoughts of their hearts.

13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage. 

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions. 

15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord. 

16 And it came to pass that so great was their faith and their patience that the voice of the Lord came unto them again, saying: Be of good comfort, for on the morrow I will deliver you  of bondage.

I just love the wording in the scriptures. Really is beautiful. Alma and his people were put to death if they prayed, so in verse 12 they did more than praying they poured out their hearts to Him. And He does know the intents of our hearts.

In 13 it talks about how He does not forget us and will never abandon us.

v, 14 the Lord did not take away their afflictions but made their burdens light. He does this si thay we can stand as witnesses for Him.

v. 15 their burdens were made light and the Lord strengthen them to bear the burdens with ease. I love how it says they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord. 

v 16 the Lord comforts us and delivers us out of our own bondage(trials).

I really love these scriptures. I invite yall to find a new scripture story that you haven really thought of and write a little summary of it and the important parts.
