🌴🌏Week 65🌧💀

 

This week ended up being pretty dang fire!

Last monday we went over to that place near the beach. I sent the pictures in last week. It was super lit. The wind was pretty strong so the waves were big and it was beautiful! That night we did some finding and that's about it.

Thursday we first went straight over to 松山 songshan for our district council. It went good. After we had lunch and we had a lesson that afternoon. She has been struggling with the word of wisdom so we made a plan together and she is doing really well right now. She keeps telling me that she isn't drinking tea now. Very good feeling! That night we just did a crap ton of finding. We found some homies. We had dinner and language study at the end of the night. 

Wednesday we did finding then had a good lesson with our new member. She finally came to church this week after many weeks of not coming. Yay! After we had English group. It was fun. We talked about food and clothes. 

Thursday we had a nice long day of finding then we had a sweet online lesson where we put our friend on baptismal date. They are super lit. Hopefully the parents won't oppose. After that we took the night and traveled down to 宜蘭 yilan to sleep the night there because in the morning we have to go all the way down to 花蓮 hualien. We rode on the back of their bikes to their apartment. So that was fun haha.

Friday morning we woke up and headed down together to hualien. We had a fire zone conference. For lunch we ate  Thanksgiving food. Man it was so dang delicious. I must miss 'real food' maybe haha. Jk. After our great conference we bought a fire slurpee. It was pinaple and they put scoops of ice vanilla ice cream so fire. Well our travel back to our area took the whole day haha. I ate 2nds of the Thanksgiving food on the way back. Again pretty fire. 

Saturday was supposed to have like 3 lessons. Ended up being 0 so we basically just did alot of finding. And called people to invite them to church 

Sunday we pulled up to the church early for a meeting then we had 3 friends come and 2 new members come. One of which hasn't came for like 4 weeks.  So we were so happy to see her. After church we did planing and studying had 2 lessons. One with a new member, he is awesome. We will be going to the temple this Saturday. Should be really lit! 

That was our whole week. It 2as pretty good. I had a good time!

Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream.  

I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.  

Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.  

For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.  

One belonged to me and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,  

I looked back at the footprints in the sand.  

I noticed that during the saddest and lowest times of my life,  

There was only one set of footprints.  

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.

“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,  

You’d walk with me all the way.  

But I noticed that during the most troubled times of my life,  

There was only one set of footprints.  

I don’t understand why, when I needed you the most,  

You would leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child,  

I love you and will never leave you.  

Never, ever, during your trials and testings.  

When you saw only one set of footprints,  

It was then that I carried you.”

Week 64

 

This week has been super lit actually. I love it! We had some really lit stuff happen and worked hard. Overall a good week.

Last Monday night we had a lesson and then went out finding. That was basically it.

Tuesday we had district council in the morning we then took a bus to Costco where we had lunch! Costco is my best friend. Also reminds me of America. Basically all of it is imported from America haha. We got home and did some studies then went out. Ended up locking our keys in the apartment lol. So we went out finding then traveled over to the mission office to grab the spare key. So that was a fun trip. We go5 mcdonalds for dinner because it's one of the only things open haha. It's so fire tho.

Wednesday we went over to Costco then we had a lesson down there. It went really well. They gave us some stinky tofu to eat. I actually think it's not too bad. Yall will have to try it if you come here haha. Anyways we did some finding found our boy Issac, then had English group. At first only one person showed up so we were gonna cancel but then the homies all pulled up so that's good. We had a fire English Group! After that we got dinner.

Thursday we started our exchanges in the morning. I went to neihu for exchange with Elder Crockett. We had a really fun time. Basically only finding but it was lit. We ate some KFC. The kfc here is better than kfc in america. On the exchange the elders bike I was using chain went all wonky. So I tried to fix it but its not possible without tools. I tried so my hands turned black. I tried to clean it off. Right now there is still a little black on my nails haha. 

Friday we ended our exchange traveled straight to a lesson. It was really good. That night we had a lot of finding so we made a goal of finding 4 new people and we did. So that's really lit. Although we will see what happens with them. But yeah very tiring.

Saturday we had another morning lesson with my boy Issac. He is very interested in learning why our church is different. He also isn't into the cultural beleifes of many gods. So he said he will come to church and meet with us to learn more. We found him on Wednesday. After that we had studies finding then went to taipei for the Saturday stake conference meeting. We were singing in the choir, plus two of our friends came. It was really good. Our mission president spoke in it. His Chinese is really good and pretty funny talk. It was good to see all the members I remember from jilong. After that we showed our two friends the temple and shared a little about it. Then traveled home.

Sunday we woke up and went to stake conference. Again it was really fire! I love it. Very good to have the spirutual recharge for real. After that we came home ate lunch, personal study and planning. We then went out finding. Found a New pretty interested friend. We then had a lesson with sister tang. Instead of just the grandson snd grandaughter also came. The grandson is a little stinker but it was fun. After we had dinner and that was our sabbath day.

Today we are going to the ocean. There is some cool places to see. Should be fun! Maybe I'll add the pictures before I send this email.

Recently before I got to bed I have been doing a gratitude Prayer where I think of 20 things I'm grateful for. It feels good. I invite yall to do so aswel. It's not bad .

WEEK 63

 

Thus week has been pretty dang lit for real. There was one day that was pretty tough but the others days were super lit.

Here is the rundown of the week.

Last monday we went down to the mission office where we went to the presidents home and we did Christmas decorations in their home. Yeah I know we haven't even passed Thanksgiving and they are puting up Christmas stuff haha. That was fun we played some games and stuff. That night we had some good finding. 

Tuesday was cool. I ran into a pretty lit lady who said they wanted to go to church. They live in jilong. Hope they go :). Out of the blue we had a member call us and we pulled up to their home. Where they invited a friend and we had a cheeky lesson. The guy is great! After we did some more finding. At 7 we met up with a member just to chat and share a message. They are pretty lit. Recently we share Temples and why they are important. So that's nice. That night we called a referral and he is so lit. We set up a time to meet.

Wednesday we started an exchange in the morning. I'm going with Elder Lin again. He is so lit. We ate Costco for lunch then had a lesson afterwards we gave a couple blessings which was great. After we did some finding then had a lesson with a new member. Afterthat we had English group. It was pretty fun. We played jeopardy. So that was lit!

Thursday we traveled to yilan where we had zone council and we also exchanged back. We got kfc for lunch then headed back to the area. Where we did finding and then had a lesson with our friend. She is pretty old and her body not great. So it's hard for her to get to church plus she has to take care of her grandkid like 24/7. Her grandkid is a punk but super adorable! 

Friday we helped out a member for a little bit. After that we basically did finding. This member is super lit and was fun to talk to.

Saturday we had a bunch of finding. Ate some Costco. And at night we went to visit a member. Their family has 4 kids and 3 of them have served missions. They are a cool family and strong in the gospel. So yeah.

Sunday we pretty cool. We had some of our friends come to church which is nice. We then had choir practice and had lunch together. After that we went over to a new members home and visited with him. He has two cute cats and a hamster so that's pretty lit. The cats are so cute. They just want to run away but you can pick them up and move them around however you want and they don't get mad. So that is fun. Afterwards we did some stuff. Then had a new member lesson. We got him all prepared for the temple yay!

Today we were planning to go to the coast to see some cool stuff but ended up that the bus has changed routes and we can't go online to see its no route so we didn't go :( probably next week! 

My week was really awesome!

Recently I've been learning about the Book of Mormon. And how it has been written for our day. It even says so in the scriptures and also many talks mentioned it aswel. So I inviteyall to go read the book of mormon more!

Typhoon 來了 - Week62

Well everyone I'm doing just fine. Apparently the news has blown up the typhoon. I'm doing great. As the Taiwanese would say. It was big wind and big rain. Here is the rundown of the week :)

Last monday we visited some cool sights. Then had a lesson some finding and yeah

Tuesday we did studies messaged people ate some lunch. We were going to have a lesson but 放鴿子。 oh well. We then hurried over to songshan where we had district council. It was good to meet the new homies. Our mission is getting so many new people. It's crazy. I haven't met like any of them haha. We got back to our area did some finding ate dinner and had a lesson. It was online but still was really good!

Wednesday did the usually stuff then we had some finding and a lesson. Then we had another lesson afterwards we had English group. The topic was Halloween. We had this guy bring a bunch of candy. Haha. We also brought alot. It was fun time talking about Halloween. One of my favorite holidays because I like scary stuff :) after English group we went home and yeah.

Thursday was our typhoon day. So we just stayed in our apartment and set up a Bunch of online lessons. So that was good! We were all chilling. The rain looked pretty crazy and the wind was 'big'. Pretty decent day! In one of our lessons the friend of our friend wanted to join. Turns out this guy is lit. He seems very intrested. We will meet with him again this next Friday so should be lit.

Friday we were let out. The typhoon passed us. This day we had many hours of finding. Which was pretty exhausting but lit. I love and hate finding. But we had a lesson with our friend. She is cool. That's Friday.

Saturday was a day of much finding aswell. So that's lit. I found some cool people. The cooler part was that I ran into many random members that day. I ended up running into a couple who they lived in America and were baptised but they went inactive then moved back to Taiwan. That would be so cool if they came back. I invited this couple to church and

Sunday they pulled up to church. It was pretty cool. They are awesome. Hope they can keep learning and having a desire to come! We had a good fast and testimony meeting. After that we get to sing in the choir for the next stake conference. So we have to stay and practice. The ward wants us to do it. Fine by me. We did some studies and planning then went to a members house for dinner. These members are so lit. They have 3 cute kids and the smallest in a cute boy. He was super funny. It was good to visit and meet with this family. They are so cool! And yeah that was that.

That was my week!
