Metro booming - Week 61

 

This week has been pretty epic! I'll give yall the rundown

Last monday we had decided after taking our weekly trip to Costco ! We decided to go bike up to this lake and yeah we took our bikes on a stroll around it. And we ran into this fish just chilling on the land. Some kind of sucker fish. So I picked homie up and threw him back. After we went on a hike. That was fun! 

Tuesday we messaged friends and stuff. Lunch and planned some lessons. After that we had our apartment inspection. It was fun to talk to the couple missionaries. We passed our inspection! After did some finding, had some lessons not go threw. One of them did. He is pretty lit. That was 差不多.

Wednesday we had some finding and other stuff. A lesson with a new member. We watched the temple tour video and taught about the temple. It went really well. Afterwards we had our english group. This time I teached the 'advanced' people. we talked about entertainment. It was great. 

Thursday we had district council. Ate an expensive lunch. It was kind of a scam. That night we had two awesome lessons. One with a friend who through all her life was told our church is terrible, the people are terrible. But then she had a friend who lived in Utah and said we were all so nice. Then she started being intrested. So even though there is lots of hate. There is always a way. I got the news of a new comp snd my other comp is moving.  So that's fun.

Friday was also really good. We sent off my Comps bike away. At night we had two very fire lessons. The hardest lesson to teach is the plan of salvation I think. But we taught the first part and it went well. Next lesson was also great. Our new bishop helped in the lesson! He is literally the best 陪課. He is so lit. I'm going to miss him when I leave.

Saturday we woke up got ready and went into taipei for transfers. We watched all the greenies get assigned. Then Then I picked up my new companion and we went back to our area. It was good to see all the people at transfers. We did some finding and some studies and yeah good times. I ran into this girl and she was really interested in coming to church!

Sunday was pretty lit. We pulled up to church. And alot of our friends  ended up coming. Along with the girl I invite. Most of them seemed to like it. We practiced singing for the stake conference. It was pretty fun. Afterwards, we ate lunch.It was pretty lit. We walked home and had personal study and did planning for the week. Messaged alot of people and ate dinner. That was our day. 

Today we went to Costco for lunch. And now we are going to look at a bunch of random tourist sites in the city. Hopefully it will be cool. We also have some fun plans for the future ones.

Paradise🌴 - Week 60

Hello homies, let me tell you about my week this week :) 

Last monday we didn't do anything cool for pday. Except I brought a huge thing of hot chocolate from Costco. After pday we had a lesson then went out finding and messaged some people. 

Tuesday we had a open day so we did alot of finding and stuff. Originally some couple missionaries were going to pull up and check our apartment but they ended up canceling. We found some new friends and ate Costco. 

Wednesday was fun. We went down to jinhua jie. Where the mission office and atemple is at. We had district council then afterwards we had interviews with President. I love him he is so great! He also gave us money to get some mango ice cream. It was so fire. After we got back and had a lesson and then English group. It was pretty fun. I taught beginner and we had some fun. After that two more lessons. They went great.

Thursday was fun too. We went out finding for a fat while. Afterwards we had a member and His wife invite us to their home with a less active and a friend(investigator) to their home for dinner. The friend is in junior high-school. But she is awesome and is reading the book of mormon! Anyways the member visit/lesson was awesome. Afterwards we hurried to another lesson. And that was wraps.

Friday: and Saturday was the day of 'rest'

Not actually because we didnt. but we had an exchange all the way down in hualien. The coastal city down on the east side of the island. It's so chill and so pretty. We spent like 3 hours traveling town there. We then started our exchanges. I'm with my boy elder sims. One of the elders from my mtc district. He is a real homie! So we planned went out finding had some lessons. And yeah it was a really good time. We got these fire shlushies and they were so good. They put a scoop of ice cream in it which made it fire. Yeah that was our day. At night we went to the top of our roof and we saw the full moon. It was really bright.

Saturday me and my companion woke up early and went to the beach to watch the sunrise. So pretty! Then we played ultimate Frisbee with some members and missionsries. It was so fun! We then went home got ready and had personal study. Then walked to the chapel. It's like a 40 minute walk. We then had lunch and got that shushee again on the way home. we ended the exchange and walked to the train station and traveled home. We got home and had two lessons. They went really well!

Sunday was also a great day. We had 10 people come to church and yeah it was good. Afterwards my comp said bye to the. He is most likely moving but we still don't know. After that we went home ate lunch. Did some studies and planning then went to a members home for a young single adult activity. We got invite and one of our new members came. It was really fun. Good to see all the members and yeah. That was the day.

This week was really good. Days feel really long. Weeks sometimes feel really long but months seem to go by and I don't have much left. I hope that I can make the best out of the time i got. I'm grateful for my mission experience. It quite literally the best choice I've made.

WEEK 59

This week was pretty good. General conference was so fire I incourage yall to go watch it! Let's hop into it

Tuesday we had an exchange after district council. It was really good! We had a lesson and it was great. The guy has alot of intrest and is willing to keep commitments! These are the type of people who progress. We did mostly finding. Got some fire pasta for dinner. With all you can drink soda . I am an avid drinker of water or soda 都可以. If I have it I'll drink it! 

Wednesday was great. We had lunch and while waiting for the others elders to end the exchange me and Elder Thorne walked inside this building which they were having an electric car type expo. So we checked it out. Luckily this homie from Pakistan helped us get in for free. We took a look. We ended our exchange went straight to a lesson then to church for English group. I am teaching the beginners it's alot of fun.

We have this lady who is interested and said she would come Sunday! 

Thursday was crazy. We spend a ton of time finding with no sucess. Then had a great lesson with a friend. He is cool. And likes the church. After we headed to another lesson where we got 放鴿子. Which in chinese means to release a pigeon. Or get stood up. They didnt come to the lesson. We had a member there so we ended up chating with her. She is super cool! Afterwards we head home get ready and went to yilan to sleep the night.

Friday we headed from yilan down to hualien where we had zone conference. It was great. But took the whole day because of traveling.

Saturday we watched the sessons of Saturday general conference it was great. We had a friend come at the perfect time where they heard 3 talks which consisted of. 

1. The Man Who Communed with Jehovah by By Elder Kyle S. McKay (about the restoration). 

2. Embrace the Lord’s Gift of Repentance By Elder Jorge M. Alvarado (about joseph smith and repentance). 

3. In the Space of Not Many Years By Elder David A. Bednar (about book of mormon).

Pretty good stuff 

Sunday we watched the rest of the sessions. And had some more people come! It was good. We had curry for lunch. Did planning. My companion did a baptismal interview. After we had a lesson with our new member all about the Book of mormon with a awesome member who was there. After we headed home ate dinner had meetings and yeah.

Today we didn't plan anything so kinda lame I guess. We will figure something out to do!

This general conference was really good. Just like all of them! I just noticed how simple it all is. The points of Doctrine and truth is just so simple. 

On talk I liked that I thought of was 

“This Is My Gospel”—“This Is My Church” By Elder Dale G. Renlund

It talked about the properties of dynamite and stuff. Relating it to the gospel. I liked it!
