Chillin with typhoon -- Week 57

What's up. This week went really good.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Last Monday was great. That night we went out finding to a new member lesson and it was pouring rain. I love rain in Utah but here and especially as a missionary it sucks. But oh well.

Tuesday was my birthday and it was great. I opened my birthday package with candy and some pajama pants so that's great. We then went and had district council. The sisters got a cake for me which was really nice of them. The rest of the day we did finding all day. I got some dinner from Costco which is so fire 

Wednesday we had zone council so we went to Yilin which is like a 2 hour travel it was really great. We had a lesson then we had English group. It was really fun. We had a cute couple bring their two little kids. 

Thursday we went to the market to go finding to meet someone. And we went finding for the morning. It was good. Then we did our studies and more finding. Basically a lot of finding. We then had a member visit. They have a kid and the dad isn't a member he doesn't have much interest. 

Friday we had some lessons then we had a huge block of just finding and it was fun. I ran into an inactive member and she was super nice. I hope she comes back. Nothing crazy happened that day.

Saturday we had the apartment missionaries come and inspect our apartment yay! After we did studies ate lunch did some finding had two lessons and then called a million people to come to church.

Sunday it was raining really hard in the morning but it stopped for a little so we made it to church without being soaking wet. Anyways we had a teenage girl come to church with her mom so that was cool. It was 5th Sunday so they talked about the missionary lessons. So that's funny. After church we went to a members home for lunch. It was really great. After that we did studies and planning and yeah that was basically it.

This week hasn't had much stuff happen. Also I haven't been good at taking pictures but I'll gather some to send :)

Blessed up - Actuall week 56

What's up guys! My week low-key has been super long. But I have had lots of lit things happen this week. So grateful for all the experiences I've had.

So last Monday we went to a dinner at TGIFriday. Apparently a popular American restaurant 吧.  It was super yummy! After that we rode my bike that arrived to Costco. Then we rode home.

We had a lesson took out the trash and messaged alot of people.

Tuesday we went down to songshan 松山 where we had district council. It went pretty well. After that we ate lunch then headed back to our area. We had studies. Contacted people. That night we did some finding and it went pretty good. We found this mom with two kids. They were going to come to church sadly got the wrong phone number from them :( oh well. If God wants it to happen it will happen and we will find them again.

Wednesday we had a lesson with these two lady's and had a member help out. It went well I guess. We did some finding ate some dinner. Was going to have a lesson before English group but she didn't come. So we had our english group. It was so fun! The people that came we so cool. anyways after that we did our spiritual share. We shared about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost and prophets. They asked some Good questions. one of them is our investigator friend and she is so awesome. her name is Chloe. After English group we did a short chapel tour where we explain what our church service is like. we invited her to come to church that sunday.

Thursday we had a pretty long lesson with this guy where we used his bible to help him understand our church. it was really fun. The bible suports the book of mormon and also our church so much.

after that we did alot of finding. it was raining all this week. after we had a lesson with our friend it went good. After that we had dinner with a member. they took us to a shushi place. i dont really like shushi. but it was pretty good. i got a mango slushie ice thingy tho. It was so fire wow.

Friday we had a lesson in the morning with this guy. it was a disaster. he wasnt respectful at all so we just ended it. after that We went to Costco where i got myself some fire food. man i love costco! After that we did alot of finding and we ran into this pretty cool guy. we gave him a book of mormon and he seems very intrested and yeah. After that we had a online lesson and had two members join. although we got 放鴿子 which means they didnt come. anyways one of the members was a less active and we invited her to church and she came.

Saturday we had a lesson with tina and she is the one on baptismal date for sunday. She was super cool. we finnished up the lessons with her and now she is ready. she has so much fath truly very prepared. we did alot of finding that day and it was rough. but oh well. We then went back to the church where we had another lesson. this lesson went so smothly. we gave him a book of mormon and invited him to church.  that was about that day.

Sunday was really great. We got to church and started filling up the baptismal font (pool). and afterwards started church. Our friend Chloe came and i think she liked it. it was great. we joined the releifsociety for 2nd hour. its pretty fun to be in there haha. but after church we had our friend tinas baptism. It was wonderful. she was crying during the whole thing and said. 很感動一直哭. 

It was great. i think everyone liked it. and our friends that came to church got to see it.

we went to a members home for dinner and it was super fire. they were so kind. after they drove us to the church for our new member lesson. he got the aronic preihsthood that sunday too. it was good. then our other friend came early for a lesson and so we asked our new member to help out. and it went well. Afterthat we got droven home. 

That was My week. it was really good. although also hard. Im grateful for our new members and its so awesome!

I love you guys so much and miss yall. 

The time is going to fly by i think. We saw many miracles this week and it was so sick!

Week 55

 well I wrote my email but it deleted it so here are the pictures and yeah my week was fine. I moved to xizhi

Week 54

Once again this week has been amazing. Although I haven't been feeling my best. I feel like I may be stuck. Epically because out here isn't as fast pace. I may just need to work harder till I'm exhausted and I'll feel better. Who knows 

Last monday was not as fun as the other pday. I really need to plan our p-day so they can be really fun. 

Tuesday. We went down to taidong to have our district council. It went great I guess. We had the senior missionaries pull up. And every time they pull up with a snack to eat. Very nice of them. Anyways we started our exchange after thay. I went with Elder Buer and we traveled back to Yuli. We had a really fun exchange. I love elder buer so much. He is always so funny and fun to be around. We had a very fire lesson with a inactive member that moved from gaoxiong. We talked about Temples. And she was so intrigued! She loved it so much and asked alot of good questions. We hope that she can come back. She has been going to a different church.  After some finding and stuff we got pizza for dinner. It was so fire. I love pizza! I miss little Ceasars. It's so lit.

Wednesday we finnished our exchange.

Did some finding. Taught some lessons. One with our most progressing friend. She is so lit. We were talking about the Plan of slavation and basically she taught us it. After that we had our english group. I taught the begginnner class. With our progressing friend and our recent convert. It was really fun haha! 

Thursday we went morning finding. Then in the afternoon we crossed to the other side of Yuli and went finding. It was lit. It started raining like crazy! So we biked back and got soaked. So we change clothes then went out for dinner. We got some hotpot. This hotpot isn't the best but it's still pretty fire.

Friday wasn't really crazy. We had a chance to check out the night market here on Friday nights. It was pretty cool. Night markets here always have many people. It's kind of crazy. I don't exactly think that it's crazy fun. But it's good!

Saturday was a party. Literally we went to a party lunch with a member and alot of their friends. She is an inactive member. But really likes the missionaries. It went well. After that we had a barbecue activity that started at 5. So we headed to there at 5. It's a activity that the town put on. But we went as a branch together. It was really lit. It started raining really hard and thundering! It was pretty lit. I really think that lightning is so beautiful. Anyways we had a good night. It was good member bonding because we were all stuck together staying out of the rain. A good experience haha.

Sunday was good. We didn't end up doing much. But we had that progressing friend come and afterwards had a lesson. Talked about law of chastity, word of wisdom, Christ's Mission and faith. It was a great lesson yeah!

Today we didn't plan anything so we went down to taidong and played some claw machine games and also took some cute photos in a photo booth haha. It was lit.

I had a good week. It had some downs but it's okay! There is always next week.

I love you guys and miss you so much. I'm excited to come back but also so very happy to be out here. Even through the hard times.

3 Yea, wo unto this people who are called the people of Nephi except they shall repent, when they shall see all these signs and wonders which shall be showed unto them; for behold, they have been a chosen people of the Lord; yea, the people of Nephi hath he loved, and also hath he chastened them; yea, in the days of their iniquities hath he chastened them because he loveth them.

I learned that everyone, no mater who you are, goes through challenges and hardships and sometimes life's hard. And it truly is. 

But I learned that it's because Heavenly Father loves us. I want you to remember 'this' is all for us, for our growth and salvation

長濱 - week 53

 

Week this week has been interesting. It's all a blur for real!

So on Tuesday we went down to 台東 taidong for district council. It went really well I guess! In our district we have the couples missionaries. And they are so awesome. They come to district council and make us treats! They made cookies it was so dang yummy. I miss myself some homemade chocolate chip cookies fr!

That day we started an exchange. I went with Elder Sotto. He is from the Phillipines. Very awesome. We had a good exchange and we had some hotpot with a new member and it was a good day!

Wednesday was a crazy day aswel. We had to cancel English group because we are taking the train to hualien at night. Anyways that day we had an online meeting. With a seventy Michael John Teh. After that we had a lesson and some other stuff. We then got 711 for dinner then took the train.

Thursday we had 10 elders stay in one apartment then we all woke up early and called some taxis over. Luckily more than one came so we can all get to the station and take our train all the way to 台北 Taipei. We had our big meeting and ate lunch and some more meeting. It was really good! It was good to see all the homies! We took the train home and got home like 9pm then called some formers and called it a night!

Friday was one of my favorite days we went to a place called 長濱 changbin.

It is right by the ocean and is such a beautiful place wow! It was fun we went there for most the day. Did some finding and ran into a really chill guy who was so receptive. Here in my area the church is just so far away from everyone it's crazy! Anyways we also took so cool pictures there. It was really pretty place! We had a member drive us back home. That was about it.

Saturday we headed over to 富里(fuli) for half the day. We got there and ran into some members and one of our friends! Well we went there to visit a member so he picked us up and went to his home. After that we stayed in fuli for some more time. One of our friends was singing at the local place or something so we went and supported her. She seemed happy! It was funny we walk in and the guy was like ohh. My Mormon friends! He was super cool. He said he has been the the salt lake temple. Anyways it was a good day.

Sunday we had church and our friend came! She is super awesome after church we had a lesson with her. Ended up putting her on baptismal date and she seems hyped! I hope I won't move before she is baptized but I might! She is so ready! After we did studies and planning. We went to visit a family's home and they made us dinner. They are so nice! I feel bad for them. I don't know why. They are super cool and I'm happy to have met them. At night I had some meetings. And that was the day!

Today we are going down to 台東 taidong. But we don't know what we are going to do!
