11 months - Week 39

Hello Everyone! I started my mission last year in June 26th and we are fast approaching June 26th again. This is crazy actually. Yes its felt long at some points but wow it's quick. 

I'm so grateful for my mission. It has changed me so much. I still feel the same as to my personality. But I've changed so much and I have seen God's hand in my life.

Yes the mission is for helping others but really it's for yourself. It's for my growth. And I receive countless blessings for serving. It's amazing.

Anyways recap my week

Tuesday we went to zone council and at night had a non member visit to their home. It was fun. Their home is cool. they are super nice.

Wednesday was English group. It was good.

Thursday we had district council 

Friday we had interviews with our mission president. This is his last transfer as mission president, so he had us interview him. This was really cool. I asked him some good questions and he had some cool answers. Afterwards we had a fire dinner. Where you put meat on a grill and eat it. It's so good

Saturday we had some finding. And we went and gave a blessing to a member. I feel bad for her hope she gets better. We went with another member to give her a blessing. Afterwards that member gave use money and said go eat a nice dinner. That was lit. So we went and ate a all you can eat hotpot. Basically you get meat and put it into boiling pot. It's so fire. 

Sunday was good. We went to church then did some planning and finding.

That was about my week. Its was good. Recently I've been getting better at the work. But it's also been pretty hard recently. It's always going to be hard but I know I'm learning and growing a lot. Once I hit a year it's going to be pretty crazy.

WEEK 37--TRANSFERS-Week 37 (forgot to send💀)

hello Everyone. This week you know, is basically the same. But it is transfers. I am moving to 頭份 toufen. It's the west side of the island. It's close to 台中 taizhong. Which is the other mission. Again I'm excited and I'm scared aswel. Switching it up is always good and you can have alot of growth.

I'm greatful for my time in jilong. I am going to miss it here. I'll miss the people snd the relationships that have been made hear. It's kind of sad to leave them. But oh well.

Monday- we went to Costco. Ate yummy food. Played baseball then bowling. It was fun. I love bowling. I'm getting alot better but still am not great. We also ran into a guy with a big python. He let us put it around our neck. It was so lit.

Tuesday we had district council and ate hotpot. We went finding after we did studies. It was the hardest time I had finding for awhile. Interacting with people has always been the hardest part. And trying to share the gospel. It's been hard. But just do what God asks and when he has someone ready he will let us know.

Wednesday. We had interviews with President yang. It went really good. I always love going to interviews with him. We also had English group that night. It was good. 

Thursday was not great. That was also a hard day ngl. But we went to a more remote area finding and it was really pretty. It's where the aboriginal people live. The aboriginal people are taiwan are so lit. And very kind. Atleast most of them are. We saw a homie shooting his bow which was cool.

Friday we went to a different area finding and after that a very out of the way area. It was cool but we didn't see any success and also got alot of mosquito bites. This is the day i found out I'm moving. 

Saturday we went and helped out with a family history activity. That was really fun actually.

Sunday was my last time to see the member's. We had are high potential friend come to. She is awesome. I hope that she will get baptized. It would change her life. We also had a mother's day feast. And me and Elder Hong shared a short section and shared. We had some other investigators come near the end and at the beggining of eating. But it was good. I will miss the bishops two kids. They are so cute. 

Another member told me a story about skinwalkers on his mission. He went to Saint George on his mission. And he heard some stories from the missionaries. He told me them. They were so cool. I love scary stuff! 😊

Today we are transfering. I'm not going to meet up with my new comp. Idk what's gonna happen actually. Whatever. My suitcase wheels got wreaked and we walked like 50 minutes with a bike two suitcase and a fat duffle bag. 很麻煩。 

I love all of you. Also happy mothers day to all the mothers and future mothers. Being a mother is not easy but it's essential. I love you mom. Thanks for everything! ❤️ 母親節快樂！

WEEK 36 Hello Homies

This week I hit 8 months in Taiwan. Yes its been fast and no it hasn't at all.

Last Monday we went ate Costco because it's so fire. And we did bowling which was fun. I finally got over 100 points for once. I got better but still suck.

This week has been a blur. Kind of like every week. The only way i can remember what happened is look at my journal or our schedule.

Wednesday we had English group. We talked about hobbies and interests. It was pretty fun and went well. Afterwards I talked to this couple. They are trying to learn English and are going to the Philippines for language school. They are pretty sick.

Thursday we went to the doctor my companion was sick and wanted to see the doctor. Something really unusual to do in the states. It's like 200 kuai which is about 7$ usd. So it's dirt cheap compared to America. 

After that we went to our friends home and helped him clean up. I feel bad their house just has a bunch of random garbage. And bugs and stuff. His parents won't let us throw this unless junk away kind of like a hoarder. It makes me really grateful for my parents and what a great environment they provided. Thank you mom and dad I love you.

Saturday we ate dinner and went door knocking with a member after that we visited a member to meet them. 

For Sunday it was fast Sunday. So I fasted and I also bore my testimony which is always good. Like always I didn't know what to say. But it went well. We had pasta for dinner which was yummy. A member gave us like a whole box of it. Like 45 packets of spaghetti. 太多了哈哈

That's about that. 

Next week is mother's day. Make sure you give your mom a hug 🫂 and maybe write her something. For you mom you have to wait a year, sorry.
