WEEK 26

Sup homies.

This week was not bad.

Tuesday we had district council and also had a lesson.

The guy who we had a lesson with works in criminal investigations. He is super cool and guess what he read the book of Mormon! That's good. He said his favorite investigation was he cleaned up a gang group. "Catch the underworld" in Chinese he said.

So that's cool!

Wednesday we had a lesson and English group. We biked up a hill to a McDonald's for the lesson. When we rode back we went down a huge hill so that's fun.

Thursday we went to the same McDonalds again for another lesson. We also had one online. So that's good.

On Friday we went to the university here in keelung. We had a lesson there at the university. The university us really cool actually.

On Saturday we didn't really do much ngl. I feel we had a decent amount of lessons this week though.

We got to call one of our baptism date friends. Which was good because we haven't met within for a long time. So that was a huge step.

On Sunday we went to church and that was good. We then went to a members house which was pretty fun. It's always good to meet the members after that we returned to the church then we were going to have a lesson but it didn't happen. That's about it.

Today we went to Costco with a member so that was fun.

Today I want to share about the Book of Mormon and Prophets. Recently I have been reading and listening to the saints book. It has built my testimony of Joseph Smith. Which built my testimony of all prophets. And especially the Book of Mormon. I know it's true and invite you to read it every day. Even a verse is good.

WEEK 25

This week was pretty alright. It felt the same as always tbh. But we finished up our lunar new year here in Taiwan. 

This week we had the same member that invited us to eat together last week. Twice this week haha. So we had some meals with her.

I also added the pictures from last week's member visits but also a few from this week.

Tuesday we had member visit and district council. Wednesday we had two member visits.

Thursday we went to our friends going away lunch. He is going to serve in the military. Because in Taiwan you have to serve. But that lunch was really weird. It was like a company thing. With a bunch of super rich people lol. It was definitely really weird and I didn't not expect it. They were all really formal. And talked a lot about their companies and stuff.

We also had to 'lessons' that didn't really end up as lessons. One of the guys knows a ton about our church and stuff. He says he knows the book of mormon is true and that joseph is a prophet. But he thinks the commandments we follow are just 'Mormonism' regulations and doesn't want to get baptized into the Mormon Church. Idk really. It's weird.

No one in Taiwan knows the really name of the church but that's OK.

Friday. We went to the library for personal study. The library is super cool. There is also this cool Japanese commanders house. Japanese style houses are so cool. We also did a little bit of finding. It was good.

Saturday we did weekly planning then some more finding.

Sunday we went to church which is always nice.

This week has been harder than usual.

It's okay though. 

I'll just "be better" Is what my family would say ：）

The mission has not been easy but my testimony has grown so much that I know Jesus Christ is my Savior.

新年快樂！happy Chinese new year [week 24]

This week has been pretty awesome. Although I have not felt my best. I'm still grateful for all the experiences I'm having.

Tuesday we went to a Chinese new year lunch with the mission. It was very interesting. They had many foods and things to try. It was an adventure

This week is Chinese new years so we had a ton of member meals and they fed us lots and lots of food. I probably gained some weight lol.

Thursday we had our first 請客qǐngkè  which means invite someone to eat.

We went to sister fan's house.

It's all the way in ruifang that's decently far south and our bus wasn't arriving for a long time. So we biked it! It was really raining and windy. But so beautiful along the coast. Nothing can explain it. The member's house was cool. Also in a cool location on the mountain.

We then biked back. And for dinner we went to sister Pan's home. Both places they made and we ate a lot of food. Both were awesome.

Friday. surprise surprise more member visits. We biked to the Lee's home up a hill through a tunnel and down a hill. We had a good dinner with them and their family. After we did some stuff idk then we went to sister xie for dinner. They were awesome too.

Saturday yes yes. Lunch and dinner with members. First we went to this guy who's wife is from India. So they had some India food which was super good actually. For dinner we went to sister chen's home. She is super funny actually. And it was fun to be there. 

Sunday we went to church and both had to give talks. I think because it was chinese new year and knew not as people would come. Because they would be in a different city or something. After church we went with Brother Feng to his home and another member who is from Texas came with us. Sister Lefler.

He lives up north in wan li. It's so beautiful up there. And their home is so awesome and cozy. Brother Feng invited us to have lunch and dinner with him haha. So we ate lunch together then. Sister lefler took a bus home but we had to stay around the area for dinner. So, We went out near the coast. And did some finding and contacts. We then came back for dinner. His wife was their and a friend so we had dinner together. They were all so funny. And they kept putting food on our plates lol. Brother Feng cooked up some yummy steak from Costco I think. Yep Taiwan has Costco.

 It was one of my favorite member meals.

We are supposed to be there for 1 hour and thirty minutes. But we went over most of the time. Oh well I liked the longer visits. 

This week has been really awesome getting to know the member's better. Member's play a huge huge role in missionary work. The better part is making friends with them and building relationships I think is the most important part.

I know we all will go through hard times. I know I have out on my mission. But no need to worry. We have God's plan of happiness. We don't have to be scared of the future. Or scared of what happens. Because ultimately we know what happens. Jesus Christ can give us hope and peace. I know he has given me peace. Peace that I can live together with the family I love forever. And have eternal happiness. I love each of you and I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

WEEK 23

This week was pretty great. I hope everyone is doing good as well.

Monday we went to a cool place on top of a mountain. The view was beautiful and it was really cool

Tuesday we just did some finding in a further place then the jilong city. So that was fun.

Wednesday we taught a 17 y/o then had English group. I finally got to meet the person who was on baptism date. She just hasn't came to church. So that's why she can't get baptized. She is super funny though

Thursday we had district council then went to a delicious hotpot with amazing Carmel/vanilla/butterscotch soft serve ice cream. It's so yummy. Since I came out I started to love ice cream more and more. Just like my dad haha.

We had two lessons and put the 17 y/o on date for baptism. He just needs some friends aswel.

Friday we went to the mission office for interviews. There were good. President Yang is an awesome mission president After president Yang took us to a yummy restaurant. They just bring out food and put it on a big round table with a spinning middle piece. Pretty cool

Saturday we had a lesson on a member meal. With a member who is always trying to call us. Multiple times a day. Haha.

Sunday we didn't really do a lot. We had weekly planning and stuff that's about it. We had a lesson with this guy who later we found out is a red dot , means don't contact, I don't know why.

Today is Monday 

we went to a Buddhist or Taoist temple/park it was really cool. We then walked a night market street. It was during the day but still cool.
